Beyond that very important difference (apples and oranges, really), there is a very large difference in quality and expectations here. So, for instance, no one using the Faber-Castel soft pastels should expect the pigments they are using to be lightfast, whereas Neopastels are each rated for lightfastness and, the last time I checked, they were mostly good to excellent in this regard. So, it's impossible to come up with a comparison here that makes sense. Hope this helps. **Q: Are these full or half stick size?** A: Half stick - 1 1/8". I might add that mine came from England, shipped in a box much larger than the Faber-Castel box with no packing at all.
