**Q: You responded to my "why is this bleeding" question that it drowns in water. Yes it does. But are confirming that you added some color to these beads?**
A: NO

**Q: Why is this maala bleeding when in water?**
A: It is perfectly normal for Rudraksha to bleed an orange color when put in water. It does NOT mean it is fake. This is usually part of the blessing ritual where haldi/turmeric is rubbed on it as it holds shakti. Rudraksha may also be dyed to bring out the details in the bead or for customer to see the mukhis more clearly. Its best if you soak in water until there is no dye as with sweat it may rub off on clothing!
