I received the Channellock 317 long nose pliers and returned them immediately. The two sides of the pliers only made contact at the very tip and there was a huge gap between the two sides. Also, Chanellock is putting on a clear coating to prevent rust which is a good idea, but it looks like it is just slapped on with a paint brush. Finally, Amazon said they would refund my return shipping costs and they did not refund my shipping costs for a defective item. His are many years old and still going strong, and I just got a second pair for the garage so he can take his to his new job. We tried other brands and they were not nearly as good.
