Is it supposed to close the blade? How do I close it?** A: The button half way down the back of the knife is to release the blade, it is stiff, I suggest you oil it and work it a little to ease the button tension. It may take some time in doing. **Q: Big enough to filet a salmon?** A: Yes, depending on the size of salmon. I fish for Sockeye salmon in Alaska each year and purchased this knife to be able to store it in my chest pack when fishing.
