This maintenance cleaning Kit is for regular Katana swords and not for wooden swords. **Q: Does it have anything to remove rust?** A: Try Mineral Oil or Baby oil & steel wool to remove any rust. Coat liberally well first & let it set depending on how bad it's rusted. Process shouldn't take longer than 24 hrs for the worst of the rusted & salvageable. After letting it sit in the oil for at least 1-2 hrs. Then Steel wool any rust spots litely. As so not see swirls or scratches in the metal or finish. Warning any colored or painted on finishes will show scratches or swirls marks. & once you're finished. Put a lite coat of oil & keep it oiled. Also cleaning with WD-40 will help with rust pervention. But again always coat with mineral oil when storing most blades (especially stainless steel).
