While I typically make bento from scratch, a combination of leftovers works fine so long as you are mindful of condensation and have a secondary microwavable surface. Two sliders or a larger hamburger cut into halves easily fits into the bottom. No leaks, even when knocked over. In the beginning it does have a nauseating paint smell that ruined my appetite. That went away with continued care, but is the reason why I'm only giving 4 stars. ### ⭐⭐ So much disappointed.
