It is cheap, accurate and easy to read. It suctions well to my little plastic tank. As some of the other reviews say, it's very breakable, so be careful. Mabey not the best for a tank with big fish as they could bump into it and break it. This would be dangerous because it contains red jelly like stuff that is toxic and could kill fish. They make the same one in plastic and I recommend it for bigger fish that could break this one. The stainless steel one would work too. I've been using the glass one for 2 weeks for my baby ramshorn snail.
