**Q: Is this dishwasher safe?**
A: do NOT put the turntable in the dishwasher. I read it was dishwasher safe to so I took off the top piece and put it on the top rack of my dishwasher and it warped it.  Everything else seems fine when washed. I just wanted to thoroughly clean the turntable after the frosting got dried on it. :/

**Q: Is the turntable noisy when you rotate it?**
A: This turntable is quiet! Not noisy at all.

**Q: Is this bpa free?**
A: I don't really know, but it's a moot point. The cake will not touch the plastic. You will use cardboard or parchment paper.

**Q: Does it have a brake to lock it in place?**
A: No it does not. It is very basic. It turns well, and it doesn't really move when not being moved.

This turntable is great for beginners. While it is not super sturdy it does help you ice cakes effectively. The spatulas are a great addition to my collection.
