You might want to try 3960 first. **Q: Can this be used by 5 year old ?** A: I think it would be fine for a young child. The size of the head isn't as long as other adult toothbrushes. Also, the bristles are so extremely soft, that they won't irritate the gums. Curaprox actually makes a toothbrush designed for children. I think the model is called CS Smart. **Q: Which Curaprox toothbrush is equivalent to the regular soft brush from oral-b or Colgate?** A: I have used both the 3960 and 5460 models of Curaprox. They both feel very different than any other toothbrush I've ever used, and I've tried all the major/popular brands. They are extremely soft. They work really well, though. They're great for people with sensitive gums.
