If you connect them into a standard tail/stop light circuit containing existing incandescent tail/stop bulbs, the LED lamps will not perform both the tail and stop functions properly. If only the tail-lamp lead from the LED is connected, the LED tail lamp works OK. However, if the stop-lamp lead is also connected, the LED tail lamp becomes so dim as to be essentially useless. The LED stop lamp works properly regardless of whether the tail-lamp lead is connected or not. This makes me suspect that rather than two independent LED lamps, each of these actually contains one LED lamp with a dimmer circuit. When an incandescent stop-lamp filament is in the circuit, the low impedance of the incandescent stop-lamp filament probably shunts the + side of the LED to ground when the brake switch is open, and the dimmer no longer functions properly.Interestingly, if the incandescent tail/stop bulbs are removed from the circuit, the LED lamps work correctly. However, a solid state flasher unit installed in the LED stop-lamp circuit fails to flash the LED (even though it flashed correctly with incandescent bulbs in place and both LED stop and tail leads connected. I'm suspecting this is caused by some kind of polarity reversal on the flasher unit when the brake switch is open.Anyway, if you want both tail and stop LEDs to work properly when connected in a circuit with incandescent bulbs or a solid state stop-light flasher, you'll need to purchase completely independend LED units for stop and tail lamps. (I've confirmed this by testing the same connections with separate LEDs.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much better than expected. *by E***C on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2015* These are incredibly bright !!! Best LED lamps that I have seen. They are brighter than the factory supplied halogen tail lights on the cycle. These two bullets are on my sidecar, and add signficantly to "being seen'". One above the other, both are on for tail function. One of them also does right turn. One of them does brake. The standard level, for tail, is very bright. But the additional boost for either turn or brake is THAT much more. Highly recommended. ### ⭐ Dissapointed *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2017* Not worth the money.
