If you can stand a medium to higher heat, this will suit you well. But I'm a mild girl. So Thai kitchen brand is better suited for me. Yes this would go farther because of how potent the spice is, but I love that full depth of flavor with less heat! I sautéed it for a few seconds in oil. Only a spoonful. I had to add two cans of coconut milk while trying to suit it to my taste and it was still too spicy. It was barely even pink. Too hot for me. I gave the rest to my father that eats raw red Thai chilies for fun! He'll love it! It's just not for a weakling like me! The 32oz tub of Thai kitchen brand is $23 compared to this $7 slightly smaller tub. But the cost difference doesn't matter in the end if I can't eat it. If you are used to Thai kitchen brand and like the nearly non existence of heat but tons of depth in flavor. Stick with that brand.
