I would highly recommend these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong enough for a heavy chest lid *by R***N on July 15, 2019* These struts were installed on a large black walnut chest lid and a cedar chest lid and have been working well for several months now. The installation instructions and measurements were okay but I had to make some slight adjustments to keep the lid from opening too far and damaging the edge of the lid. The struts definitely ensure that the lid stays open but are not effective when the lid is open between 0 and about 50 degrees.
