By the way i would give 8 stars for this speaker for it's price. Sound Quality 9 stars.

**Q: can you use a split copper speaker wire to connect from an old school amplifier to the speakers?**
A: Yes if you have the spring stab type connector on the amplifier + and -. That is what is on the back of the speakers. You just need to strip back bare wire for the connection. If your amplifier has what they call RC connectors. They are usually Red + white - just plug them in at the amp. Then you only have to strip back a connection at he speakers they too are red + and white -.

**Q: can these speakers work with the audio-techica at-lp60 usb turntable**
A: Answering late...for others needing help - you need active speakers to connect directly to the turntable otherwise you will need to connect the turntable & these speakers to an amplifier.

**Q: Do these have a screw hole in the back for mounting on a speaker stand?**
A: Yes and they come with wall mounting brackets for hanging the speakers on the wall.

**Q: what do they sound like listening to music, mostly rock & jazz?**
A: They are great for any music. I have them connected to my surround sound system and play movies , music, etc.  They can take a lot of power too, I was really impressed by that.

This speaker has a very good sound...then I used an old subwoofer to accompany this speaker, the sound came out even better, especially when watching shows and movies, and also when listening to music, it's very pleasant to listen to, you can hear sounds that you can't hear on Bluetooth speakers, this is good, I would recommend this even before, next time, I will definitely buy it again so that the music is louder especially when there is an occasion at home. By the way i would give 8 stars for this speaker for it's price. Sound Quality 9 stars.
