The butter out of the unit is easily spreadable and the water creates an airtight seal which keeps the butter fresh for up to 30 days....Butter and water do not mix so when you lift the top of the container to scrape some butter out any water just drips off leaving you with lovely spreadable butter !!! Sorry i nearly forgot...when you first wash out the product and every time thereafter...after washing hold the top part of the unit under the running cold tap...this prevents the unit retaining any heat which might cause the newly packed in butter to fall out.
