Review: Solid product that works as advertised when following the instructions. I've been a hobby modeler since I was a kid and have a decent amount of experience with waterslide decals. These are a quality product. The carrier film is thinner then some other craft brands I've tried, although not as thin as high quality commercial waterslide decals that come with most model kits. After clear coating to make the decals waterproof, they are probably a little too thick to be used on plastic models... but the upside is that they do not easily tear during placement. All that said, I didn't buy these for plastic model use. I got them to add some snazzy graphics to the Pinewood Derby car I was making with my son. For that use, where I'm not too worried about making the graphics seem as "painted on" as I would with a model build, these worked perfectly. They took the ink and clear coat with no issues. The white backing paper appears to be acceptably opaque. I put these on a bright yellow surface and I can only make out the very slightest amount of color bleed from below. I'm not sure how they would hold up over a black or very dark surface, but impressed with this first usage. NOTE: Just a reminder... almost all ink jet inks will dissolve in water. You must follow the directions and coat these with a waterproof clear coat before application.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I've read that decal sheets can ruin/melt inside laser printers.  Has anyone used these with a Brother color laser printer?**
A: This is true. I once ruined a store's (major brand, can't remember which) laser printer using waterslide decal paper in it.  With their permission, I had used it successfully over the past year. Then they got a new copier. I asked if it was still OK; they told me to go ahead (repairs were covered under the maintenance agreement). Turns out the new copier operated at a higher temperature than did the old one. So before using it, I would be sure to check the required temperature for the paper and ensure that it is compatible with the operating temperature of the copier.

**Q: Can this be used on wood?**
A: I use them on wood.  I do a thin coat of shellac as a grain sealer, then I apply the decal... I add a few drops of Elmer's glue-all to the water that I use to wet the decal to aid it's adhesion.  After it dries, I top coat with minwax tung oil (not a true tung oil, fyi).  Works for me... Here I go giving away my secrets, hahaha.

**Q: Does it work with Cricut print and cut, will it read the registration marks?**
A: I haven't done it that way but I treat it the same as any printing paper.  Print and Cut should work.  Remember to spray with some kind of water based acrylic spray and let dry well before cutting.  Hope this helps ! drperp

**Q: Can you use this for temporary tattoos?**
A: Not recommended as the adhesion will not take properly.
