Sound quality is descent as well as volume, using it at the beach with no problems. A one year old also slammed it into the ground a few times while playing with it and no problems. Only complaint is that they did not include a physical input slot for 1/8" stereo plug. It is blue tooth input only. Not a big deal, just would be nice to have the low tech input as well. Good for the price unit. ***Update 3 months of use, still working well and have been using it as a blue tooth speaker phone and to listen to pod casts while I work.
