There are heavy doses of poison being constantly absorbed into your babies skin while wearing them, and even a few weeks after if not bathed thoroughly. My cat is 13, and so i decided to remove the collar and bathe her thoroughly. She returned to her normal self. Within a couple of days she was her semi energetic lovey self. Lol. So i would just caution you to examine the cost to benefit ratio and your pets age and health. Review: Took 5 of the 7 months to finally rid the kitties of fleas, but it worked without me having to bomb the house... again.. or pay to flea dip them over and over. That crud can get pricey quick! I suggest buying this collar and covering the pets in coconut oil once a month. At the same time you do the coconut oil treatment, cover all your floors and furniture with baking powder [from the dollar store to save $] for an hour then vacuum up. It's a lot of work, but there Is no overnight treatment to rid your house and pets of fleas. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. We tried dipping them and bombed the house twice. I swear it made the fleas worse and the house stink. My suggestion worked so much better. If you can't afford the expensive brand these will still work well. I haven't had any issues with using them on my cats, I've had them on my cats for a couple months. None of my cats had any irritation or redness, but this really depends on the sensitivity of your pets skin. So keep a watch on them and their skin while using this in case your cat has a sensitivity.
