Based on the reviews no programing was necessary but the one we recieved did not work and manual is not included. So after doing alot of research, YouTube and customer support there isn't much you can do to get it to work if it doesnt work straight out of the package. Very disappointed since our tv was listed as one of the models it's for. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Ok but wish it was more than ok. *by M***7 on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2021* I like that it has a dedicated button to the apps I use most frequently and this would be perfect if it wasn't for one thing. It takes so long for the remote to respond to the buttons being pressed so that leads to pushing harder and harder. You also end up having to move around the room to try to get a better angle but I don't think there is one. I think that this remote just has a very poor IR signal because it was the same problem I had with the stock remote. I was using a smartphone app to control the television which worked ok but not the most convenient way. Then, without thinking, I reset my television because of a problem with an update. With no remote and no way to connect the app because you need a remote to set up the wifi my television was completely useless! This remote came within 2 days of order and was a perfect replacement! put the batteries in and it was controlling my television with no pairing, programming or setup required.
