Review: Great straw - Most people say that the case is hard to open. They are right! BUT!!! After closing and opening it two or three times, the little plastic bits inside the case ware down slightly and make consequent openings a lot easier. PLUS!!! I found that pushing from the bottom of the case with either of your thumbs demands a lot less effort, compared to using the notch at the top of the case. Overall this duo pack of straws is the best on the market and worth every penny. The construction is great, quality is great, the ease of cleaning with the included brush is great ( like the incorporated handle ) and best of all the length of these straws is great! No more straw getting lost in a glass, like most of the shorter competitors. Great straw! (How many times did I say great? ; ])

**Q: how big is the case, i.e. dimensions?**
A: The case is 9 ½ in L, by 1 ½ in W, ¾ in D.  By the way, the straw length is 8 ¼ in, but the moveable silicone cover can extend the straw up to 10 ½ in. Hope this helps.

**Q: Could you use this drinking hot coffee? I am trying to figure out how to avoid getting my teeth tainted by coffee.**
A: I’m sure you could because it’s metal and silicon which both can withstand heat 

but keep in mind it’s never recommended to drink any hot liquid through any straw because it concentrates the heat to one spot (the straw)and can burn your mouth you much easier

A: No, they are too narrow for tapioca balls to pass through

I loathe paper straws, they ruin the drink with one sip and if you sit on your drinks like I do then you know it’s soggy within minutes. This is the solution, it comes with 2 (because you know you’ll wash one and forget to put it back in the case). The carry case is sturdy and slim enough to throw in the bottom of my bag. It doesn’t attract every bit of purse dirt like others I’ve tried. It comes with a cleaning brush for on the go convenience. Great for work. You most definitely will save at least one turtle.
