Get it bottom water tank half full with water, get it cleaned. It will be better to clean the pump together if you have screw driver,which will be expend the lifespan of the water pump. Then you could choose to put out the water or get drainage like video and assemble it back.Note:Becareful not to get the smart control wet. Clean the 3 grow pod is easiser. Remove the planting foam and get the cleaned throughly.Before start planting another crop, you could use vermiculite or clay pellets in small diamater (6~8mm is better), fill a cotton pad at bottom of the pods to prevent them fall into water to get water dirty.Note:The dirty water can be easily damage the pump. **Q: Can I grow strawberries with this system?** A: Strawbierries grow differently, keep that in mind. I made some IOT with it for work project. Not bad for the price . I had some break when delivered but nothing serious. Be advised you have to know you can't grow anything in this because there is not a lot of space in reservoir unlike good ol' 5 gallons plastic bucket .But the quality in itself is good. but If you want something for bigger crop you can easily DIY. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Unit *by A***S on Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on 21 April 2020* It is very quit, very clean, excellent use of space, easy to use, easy to put together, worked exactly as described. Drop the seed into the little hole and watch them grow. Germinated in the normal time, but growth was 20-30 faster than soil seedlings. If using during the winter in cold climates, you could use a heat pad to get better /quicker germination and growth. Heat pad at 21+C would be good, anything lower is too cold due to the water circulation. It is whisper quit, and I have to get very close to it to see if its running. Its small and light so its easy to move around too, like a pot. Mine is in a window, so I initially rotate the square cups daily to strengthen the seedlings so they don't tilt to just one side. Climbing plants need a little help in getting to the first rung of the provided trellis, a foot long stick or mini trellis? Once there, off they go. Only need to get a fertilizer solution of some type as per your plant type and get some your seeds. This unit is a minimum effort piece of kit. Well done. I am buying a bunch more of them. If I was to get an additional accessory for winter growing it would be some LED grow lights. Then this thing would be able to grow stuff year round anywhere with at least a 30% improvement in grow rate than outside in the soil. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Indoor Garden *by L***L on Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on 26 November 2022* So glad this indoor garden came up in my Amazon search!! Was looking for something that I could grow taller vegetables in. It is very sturdy, seems to be of good quality - I have several indoor gardens (Aerogarden FarmPlus, iDoo) that are higher tech but are limited in height. It's an easy setup as well. Couldn't find replacement grow sponges for it but ordered Grodan Rockwool cubes that will work perfectly. So far, so good with this product - looking forward to my cucumbers, beans & peas!!
