Sometimes a batch will come out with a very ashy smell, almost to the point of being unpleasant, or it can come out with more of a sweet ashy smell, or it can even turn out to really have no smell at all. It all depends on how hot the roast is done, what time of year it is done can surprisingly have an effect as well, meaning the humidity or temperature can effect the batch. Also the age and quality of growth of the bean itself can also effect the way the final roasted oil will smell. **Q: What does the 2 8oz kit come with? All I got were the two 8oz bottles.
