It's like foam, but doesnt seem to be as thick or or soft as other foam handlebar tape that i've used in the past. It's also a bit shinier than regular foam tape. I'm used to solid black, but this tape seems to sparkle. The good thing about it not being super soft and foamy is that it doesnt rip as easily. It doesn't stretch at all, but also isn't prone to ripping due to that. it has one line of glue down the entirety of the back side, and applies and sticks to handlebars fairly easily. Over all its very grippy, and comfortable, and looks nice. the end caps it comes with are nice and shiny, and round-- not flat like most. I like the end tape, its kinda matted, and isn't like some cheap harder electrical like tape that others come with. Very happy, looks and feels nice on bike.
