I think it does not have peroxide because that usually makes my hair appear reddish. It is like it coats on a dark blackish brown. For me it was much darker than the color on the box. But if you are completely gray after two times it will probably look like the color on the box. Be sure to cover areas like ears and forehead with vaseline. How can there be no chemicals listed?** A: All I can say is what is stated on the box, such ingredients are plants from Tibet, Ginseng from Tibet, red flowers as well, from the same place and arborvitae Chinese leaves and other Chinese medicines, who knows what that means. But all I can say is that my hair never looked shinier than now and it looks healthy, the gray hair looks like they were highlighted by a professional, I just love the product.
