Making my study materials pretty and fun encourages me to study. These flashcards are a great study tool. The cardboard is thick enough to be written on by sharpie ultra fine point pens without bleeding through or being able to see the writing through the other side. The flashcards are smaller than your 3x5 cards but are great if you don't like to write much on your cards. I recommend hole punched cards with some sort of way to keep them together (the binder ring in this case) as I like my flashcards portable and organized. The ring also keeps them together as I always throw them in a backpack or purse to use to study whenever I have down time. I love using my flashcards on the subway where internet access comes and goes.The cards are definitely pricey but the fun colors and the thick card stock allow you to create beautiful cards that encourage you to study! I put them in business card sheets (clear plastic like trading card sheets) in a binder. Yes, I could buy heavy card stock, cut it down to business card size and punch a hole in it. But i don't have the time to do that. I'd rather get it pre-made and spend that time with people and tasks I value.
