There isn't much contrast to them. I'm not sure what air coated is, so I can't answer that. They are unique playing cards that bring up discussion because each card has a different creature, and each suit is a specific location (i.e. Egyptian/Celtic/etc.) **Q: size of cards? standard or larger?** A: They are Standard size. Although they are odd to shuffle with because they are like a PVC type of card instead of normal playing cards. **Q: Is the back of all 52 cards shiny and able to reflect off light?** A: not so much shiny to reflect light.
