I started having many problems using a non standard gate way address (192.168.10.1). Router would forget WiFi password, couldn’t access the GUI there. Almost as though the firmware was becoming corrupted. I sent mine back, waiting for replacement - that’s another story. **Q: does this have a phone jack?** A: Arris & Motorola combo modems like this are for Internet & device Networking only. Only model numbers that start with "TM***" include a phone hookup, then you still need to call cable company to assist with installing those other modems with phone jacks. **Q: What’s the WiFi range on the sbg 7400?** A: In a house it tends to be sufficient. My security cameras run without issue 40-50 feet away. Range drops off outside the house after about 15 feet.
