All Oribe products have the Cote d'Azur fragrance.  One of the most common comments we receive is that our customers love the smell! **Q: Oribe is filled with harsh Sulphates why is this?** A: Oribe products do not contain any harsh sulfates. When people talk about sulfates in hair care, they are primarily referring to sulfate-based ingredients that work as cleansers (surfactants) in shampoos, such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). Sulfate-based surfactants can be harsh, stripping natural oils, depleting color and irritating the scalp. Sulfate-free surfactants are typically more mild and less stripping. Sulfates also are responsible for foaming in shampoos, so sulfate-free shampoos also foam less. When Oribe launched 11 years ago before sulfate-free technology was perfected, we created shampoos with gentle sulfates, naturally derived from corn, oat and coconut.
