Brutus spinning reels use high-performance, stainless-steel ball bearings (4+1), and a machined aluminum, high-capacity spool. Nice inexpensive reel. Smooth, good looking and well built. Got the 2000 model, filled it with 6lb. Mono. Paired it with an 6.6 foot ugly stik. Going to use it for stocked trout in the lakes around where I live in California’s gold country.
