On the box we wrote this set is for "Ages 4 - 104". We've noticed that children as young as 2 or 3 might enjoy stacking the planks or lining them up in a row, but it isn't until ages 4 or 5 when most children start building with them. The great thing about these wooden planks is that even older children and adults enjoy building with them also. Ages 4-6 often build flat shapes or simple buildings. Ages 7-12 start building some of the more complex structures in our building ideas booklet.
