The company was founded in 1993 as the Great American Trading Company, Inc., focusing from the very start on quality dinnerware for culinary professionals and for the home. In 1997, the company expanded its offerings to flatware, glassware and tabletop accessories, becoming a "total table" operation and pioneered the concept of specialty dinnerware for the commercial foodservice market with a "Cuisine Collection" of square, rectangular and oval shapes. Fortessa is an integrated designer, developer and marketer of tabletop goods and accessories. Brands and products under the Fortessa banner include Fortessa Dinnerware, the Accents collection, Fortessa Metal ware, Schott Zwiesel Crystal Glass and Fortessa Design and Value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very elegant flatware, an absolute pleasure to use.
*by D***. on 27 July 2022*

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this flatware pattern!
*by L***H on 18 February 2025*

This stainless flatware is beautiful and a nice weight. The quality is very impressive. I paid more than I hoped to when I first started looking, but I’m really pleased with this purchase and glad I spent the extra money. I expect to use it for years to come and I don’t feel the need to get a second “fancier” set for special occasions. It reminds me of the Pottery Barn Georgia pattern, which I love, but couldn’t justify the cost. When I compare the two patterns though, I think the Fortessa Doria is probably more comfortable to hold since the handles are more flat against the part of your hand that holds it vs the Georgia pattern, which is round.
