## Description

Dexsil Field test kit for PCB screening of electrical insulating fluid - 50 ppm action level. Designed to be used in the field, Clor-N-Oil is a fast, accurate method to test electrical insulating fluids for the presence of PCB. Each pocket-sized kit contains everything necessary to perform the test in less than 5 minutes. All premeasured reagents are sealed in glass ampules for safe, fast, consistent and accurate results. Screening transformer oil with Clor-N-Oil can eliminate non-PCB fluids from costly laboratory analysis and allows a greater number of samples to be tested at less cost. To eliminate the possibility of false negatives, Dexsil calibrates all Clor-N-Oil test kits on Aroclor 1242. Aroclor 1242 contains the least amount of chlorine (42 percent by weight) of the Aroclors found in electrical insulating fluids. By calibrating our test kits using Aroclor 1242, the user obtains the most conservative results. When Clor-N-Oil test kits turn purple, you can be assured your oil sample is below the action level. Note: these kits are an appropriate method for testing dielectric fluid (transformer oil) only. They cannot be used to determine PCB contamination of other types of used oils (i.e. used motor oil or other types of lubricants/industrial oils). U.S. EPA SW-846 Method 9079. Note: this product contains mercury, dispose of kits according to local, state or federal laws. Analytes: PCB's. Matrix: transformer oil. Detection method: fixed endpoint colorimetric titration. Action levels: above or below 50 ppm. Analysis time: less than five minutes. Tube #1 - A plastic test tube with a black dispensing cap containing a gray ampule (top) and a blue-dot ampule (bottom). Tube #2 - A white-capped plastic test tube containing 7 ml of buffer solution, a red-dot ampule (bottom) and a red-green ampule (top). A plastic pipette. A glass ampule contained in a cardboard sleeve and plastic tube designated as "Disposal Ampule".
