The colours are soft, without being pastel. Soft shades of pinks, some a bit stronger than others. Soft shades of green, some are almost a khaki colour (stops just short). You can use a variety of pillow cases: white, off white, various shades of pink, various shades of green, soft khaki with green undertone. Excellent quality. Not a stich out of place. You can not go wrong buying Laura Ashley patchwork quilts and sham covers. This is my second set.
