It is the black standard with the 3.18" blade. I have had very good service with it. No complaints. The blade holds a nice edge and requires minimal attention. I carry it everyday because it is slim, fits my pocket easily, is easy to reach down, remove from your pocket and have it ready for use. It is easily clipped to my pocket and available when needed. Does not make a bulge in my pocket or prevent removing other objects. The blade is extremely sharp and the right size for general use. I have had several other SOG knives and know they need to be worked for a while to smooth out the works. Be very careful when doing this. If you have no experience with SOG opening assist really be careful. It is quite easy to cut yourself when learning how to open this knife and smoothing the action. It won't take long and you will be able to reliably open this knife with one hand.
