I am a software engineer, and their software, both for NVR (I have this exact model) and cameras is simply horrible. I wish I knew it before I purchased their products. Mac support is much worse than that for Windows. I am not even able to setup NVR to notify me of motion detection events. And a couple of other things, like NVR records video in .DAV format, and if you download it for playback, you will need to find 3rd party software to play DAV video.
