Also, I'm not sure if it's the spring mechanism, the sharpness and quality of the steel edges, or a combination of both, but this thing feels so effortless cutting through the thickest -of my- toe nails. Almost no effort needed when pressing. My only "complaint" is that it's honestly the largest nail clipper I've ever owned, and due to the massive width of the catcher, I'm unable to store it in the pouch I normally keep for other tools. Well, that and the price I suppose, but if this lasts a "lifetime", I think the convenience/satisfaction of using them will be well worth it.
