The best part is it doesn't look like a biased type of coin, just a generically pressed gold piece, unless you can't erase the whole "pirate" theme doubloons come with. I also like how they look uneven. Clean-cut coins turn me off because some games run in olden fantasy times, where currency was based on weighted metals. :) Authentic feel.Great quality. The aged/tarnished ones are actually made up of 2 base colors.Most people have received (or perceived) only 3 colors, but mine came in 4: shiny gold, shiny silver and their aged tarnished versions (dark coins). So, perhaps those with more aged coins than gold and silver might have overlooked the fact that there are 2 aged colors for a total of 25% of each color (shiny gold and silver, and tarnished gold and silver). The small coins are actually much better ... *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on 16 May 2017* When I ordered these, I was under the (mistaken) impression that they would be the same size as a real doubloon, a large coin roughly the size of a US Kennedy half-dollar. I have a couple replica coins with almost precisely the same stamp as those shown in the picture that are that size already, and figured I could add these to my collection. I was confused at the small size of the package I received initially, and then checked the description which plainly states that these coins are the size of a US quarter; this was great news! The small coins are actually much better for my intended use. They are pleasantly "clinky," small enough to be easily held in large numbers, and large enough to have a significant heft.I received: 50 coins in a ruddy brass/copper, 53 in a tarnished silver, 50 in a shiny gold (not perfectly applied, sure to wear with handling, but very bright and appropriate to the price point), and 50 in a similarly shiny silver; so, almost exactly 50/50 'bright' vs. 'antique,' at the 200 coin level. If you don't mind that split, these are excellent for use as party favors, tokens, chips, markers, or my chosen use: as replacements for cardboard coins and paper money in tabletop games. Having four separate types is actually especially great for this last purpose, but the antique gold and antique silver are very hard to distinguish.
