Great Resource *by B***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 7, 2013* I searched for a book of this type. Hebrew prayers with a facing English translation, as an additional resource when studying Hebrew, which I just started last month. For that purpose, it fit the bill perfectly; however, I discovered an additional virtue I did not expect. The prayers are so good, I found myself using them in Christian settings as well, with no complaints about references to "the Torah."If you think you might encounter such complaints, change the word "Torah" to "Scripture". I might go even further to say the prayers would work for Muslims by changing "Torah" to "Qur'an". My only warning is that like some Christian prayers, some tend to be rather long. I am inclined to prefer short prayers with very well thought out content. That is what you get here, where you do not even have to use the entire text.The paper and binding is rich, although not "expensive". It is gilt-edged onion skin, so it will even look good in prayer situations. If your only use is to use the English, there is no concern with the accuracy of the translation. I find the English to be perfectly reverent and "to the point." ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautifully typeset, tight binding, great commentary *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 14, 2011* I'm looking forward to davening with this machzor for years to come. The full-size edition has very readable type. I was suprised to see more block paragraphs than in the Koren Daily/Shabbat siddur, but there is so much to be put in the machzorim, I can live with it.Rabbi Sacks' introduction and commentary is well-done as usual, as are the translations. (This machzor, like the Koren siddur, has the ivrit on the left page with the english on the right page-- once you're used to it, I think it works better that way.) The paper is very thin, but seems to be strong, making this a bit more compact without losing type size/readability.I was disappointed in the paperback binding of the Koren daily siddur-- the front cover is already off and I've only used it for about eight months. The machzor's binding seems very sturdy and tight, so there shouldn't be a similar problem.Looking forward to the Yom Kippur machzor! L'shana tova! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not the Standard Liturgy *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on September 25, 2017* It is a handsome book, with easy to read cream colored pages and a sturdy binding.Unfortunately there are significant differences between this siddur's liturgy and other more widely used ones, such as Artscroll.The beginning of the morning services is also a bit confusing, as the publisher elected to divide the various paragraphs among different sections of the siddur. This leads to a confusing turning of pages in order to recite them in the standard order.Had I known of these differences I probably would have passed on it.
