Some desire the texture of petroleum jelly or some sort of oil, some want a product that stays on all day, some want flavored lip balm. Of course, there are people who don't want any of these particular characteristics, and won't buy a lip product because of them.I buy based on ingredients and price, and use an SPF lip balm during the day. I did not want any flavors or added fragrance, including rosemary extract. I also did not want a tinted product. Taking price into consideration as well greatly limited my options.This lip balm is fairly priced and fragrance-, flavor-, and color-free. It feels light on my lips, but keeps them moist. It's somewhat hard-textured, but does not drag on my lips. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. It does what it's supposed to do, and it meets my demands.There are two things that cause me some concern. First, there are multiple ingredient lists: One on the product page, one on the tube label, and one on the container. Each is slightly different. This makes me wonder if the product will be consistent if I re-order it. Second, this lip balm has no preservatives. That is not unique to this product, and some people prefer not having preservatives. The "lasts for" symbol says 12 months. I'm really not certain of that. Some of the ingredients can go rancid, given enough time. But my biggest concern over lack of preservatives is bacterial growth. You can disinfect the product with isopropyl alcohol, but I'd rather have an anti-bacterial in the product.Because I am pleased with the price and performance, however, I do recommend this lip balm. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Just okay, wouldn’t buy again *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2018* I bought this because I liked the ingredients. But the smell/flavor is really off putting to me. It almost smells like wax, like crayons. (The smell didn’t smell like anything food grade-not what I want to be smelling on my lips.) The texture isn’t waxy though. It glides on my lips nicely and I do like the way that my lips feel. I just really dislike having to smell it on my lips, so I’ll Be looking for a different chapstick. The smell is slightly minty, but a bit more like some chemical.
