As the serum begins to age it starts to clear up, then begins with hints of yellowing, which is normal due to the Ferulic Acid, not the vitamin C. As long as it is in a yellow state, it is okay to use. **Q: How far out is the 4oz bottle expiration date (if you don't refrigerate it)? If you do refrigerate it, should it be put in fridge or freezer?** A: I honestly don't remember the exp dates, but I do keep it in the refrigerator and it stays nice and clear for several months (or until I use it up).
