I used a spray type on my back when family couldn’t help me apply. Will appear clear when rubbed in properly, but after swimming a bit you’ll notice where skin creases you’ll want to give it a rub again, as the zinc/ white color will begin to be visible again. Reapplies very nicely vs. other types of zinc sunscreens-I felt like having a fresh water rinse before reapply was best though. I’m very fair skinned so I reapply at least every couple hours- I never burned on the trip while using this sunscreen! Because of the extreme sun/heat on that trip I was sure I would burn, I came out a nice golden color instead. Never got clogged face pores which I loved too! I’d say that 1 can will last 1 adult person about a week if in the sun each day. It has wax in it which looks really cool when you get out of the water since water will remain on the surface. I had to get the hang of how much to use on various areas like face or leg because it’s a thick creamy wax. When your body temp is hot like at the pool the cream spreads easier.
