Der Stechbeitel muss vor der ersten Verwendung noch eingerichtet werden. Einpassen des Griffs und des Rings sowie Schärfen der Klinge. Wenn man sich hierfür etwas Zeit nimmt bekommt man ein sehr schönes Werkzeug, dass für vielfältige Holzbearbeitungen (Stemmen, Hobeln) genutzt werden kann.
