The Xpel Door Edge Guard roll is 0.5" wide. The film is 8mil (mil not mm) thick. **Q: Will this tape follow the curve of fender flares when the tape is taped to the fender first, so that the flare is touching the tape and not the fender** A: Yes. This is exactly what I used this tape for. Seems to be working well. **Q: How do separate the backing from the tape. Is there a trick to it? I can’t get to sticky side because it won’t separate.** A: Hello and thank you for your question. Removing the backing paper can be slightly difficult at times. We would recommend using a finger nail at one of the corners and try to wedge it between the film and liner. If you do not have nails you can also attempt to use a thin blade, like on a knife. We have also been told that you can use your teeth. To do so you would need to insert just enough of the film to get a grip with the front teeth and bite down just hard enough to hold the film in place, then move the teeth from side to side. This will help pull the film away from the backing paper. We hope this information helps. **Q: Is shipping really 1-2 months? That seems a bit long unless it is supposed to be 1-2 days.** A: I received mine in about a week. With the virus, everybody updated their shipping times to be months.
