Well I stopped using it and did not throw it away and just recently started using it again. I had to spray WD40 so the razor would open more easily. After some use and after dealing with the opening and closing, it finally does not open at all. I cannot force it open, used more WD40 and I threw it away....then I thought what I should have done in the beginning, is write a review and let Amazon and the Go Better Deluxe Company know. I now bought a much better razor, let's see what these folks and Amazon will do. I am lady writing this review after 3-4 years of having this product. It is an essential in my bathroom and my self grooming routine. I bought it to reduce my plastic consumption and I have not bought a plastic razor since!. Starting out, it took me time to get used to shaving with one blade. You must be careful! It is easy to cut yourself especially if using a dull blade. You'll knick the hell out of yourself! Hold at a 45 degree angle and go slow.. Having and using it for some years now, it's a breeze. I can find replacement blades almost anywhere plastic shavers are sold.. The handle is short which can make it a bit difficult to hold firmly and properly (but I also have long piano fingers, so user discretion advised). I find with this type of razor, it really forces me to take my time grooming myself. Truly, shaving with a steel razor has added a wholistic and feminine value to my routine. You can't just hack the hair away. I'll set a bath with roses, oils, and candles and take my time soaking and shaving. It's bliss:).
