The MagicPlate is a perfect solution for replacement plates for your MagicMount and MagicMount Pro mounts. Included with this kit is one large and two small MagicPlates, as well as two cleaning swabs. Large plate mounts larger devices and helps ensure a secure hold. Small pates are perfect for small devices and tight spaces. Use the included cleaning swabs to clean surfaces to ensure a strong contact before applying the 3M adhesive pads. **Q: What are the dimensions of the plates?**
A: The NEW dimensions of the LARGE plate have CHANGED The NEW dimensions are 1 3/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches-considerably smaller than the old LARGE plate. The old large plate is approximately 2 5/8" by 1 3/4".  The XL plate is 2 1/4" by 2 1/4"

**Q: Will this work if placed inside an Otterbox MySymmetry case between phone and the insert (card stock like)?**
A: I grabbed these to actually stick to the back side of the otter box. The metal plates always work best metal to magnet without anything in between. Tried the in between before and it's a Hassel.
Slides at every bump. Don't like digging my phone out from under my legs while driving.

**Q: how big are these plates? what are the dimensions?**
A: I don't know exactly, but the big plate fits comfortably inside back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S4 & S5.  Yes INSIDE.  Just pop off the back and lay it on the battery but not covering the speaker, even with the adhesive and adhesive backing.

**Q: Will there be a red one to match the iphone product red?**
A: Unfortunately at the moment we don't have any but maybe in the future they might release some. If you have additional questions please call Scosche (800)363-4490 Ext 1.

Excelente para lo que necesitaba. Tiene un agarré magnético muy fuerte con los pds matemáticos para el coche. Powerful stick to the back of my phone and to the holder. [Pity I needed it because it was missing from the box in which I purchased the holder from Halfords. The top of the box was stuck down by an all too easily removable and replaceable bit of sticky plastic tape. An invitation for petty thieves visiting the store.]
