This set gave me everything I needed in one box. The different sizes come separated in their own bags, which made it super easy to find the right one without digging around. It’s a small touch, but really appreciated when you’re in the middle of a build. The dowels themselves fit snug and tight in my joints. I used them with a doweling jig and didn’t run into any issues. Most of them were consistent in length and diameter. I measured a few just to be sure and only found very slight differences that didn’t affect my project. They’re strong enough for chairs, cabinets, and shelves, but I wouldn’t use them where heavy structural support is needed, just like a reviewer before me said, "These arent meant to hold up a truck". But for woodworking and general shop use, they’re perfect. The box they came in is surprisingly compact and easy to store, which I didn’t expect given the quantity.
