The NutriChef pot has a thick base that exudes quality. It looks like it was machined flat. Though I’m sure it wasn't, it is completely rigid and flat enough to make good contact with my induction hob. The base is 9 inches, which is the same diameter as the induction coil inside my Buffalo induction hob. They match up beautifully and the stock pot simmers along hour after hour at 96 degrees with the hob set for 200 Watts. The transparent lid is a better feature than I thought it would be, since i can easily see how the stock is doing. Strongly recommended.
