It worked, but since I was an in-between size the straps dug into my hands when wrapped around the bar. Too snug. So I ordered a large. Much better, even though now they are roomier. They ride on my wrist instead of digging into the top of my hands. It's better in my opinion to upsize rather than downsize. You may have to twist them a bit to get snug, but they will hold tight. **Q: Can you use this for an underhand grip. If so do you know how?** A: It would probably take a lot of maneuverering or maybe your partner helping put the strap under the bar once you get one have in position. I haven't tried personally!!!
