## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the diameter of the pan a the bottom? I suspect the 10 inches refers to top of pan. Thanx.**
A: The top of the pan measures 10" the bottom of the pan seems to be 8.25" or 8.50". I love the pan, use it for most of my everyday cooking. Grew up in Texas so Cast Iron is my "go to". Hope this helps!

**Q: Does this Matte Black pan have a blue-green bottom?**
A: Mine does

**Q: Does the handle get really hot or do you have to use a hot pad on the handle?**
A: Absolutely! It gets HOT! We use a handle 'sleeve' when lifting or moving this pan while cooking. Here is a link to a handle sleeve: https://www.amazon.com/Lodge-HHMT-Temp-Handle-Black/dp/B00063RWG6/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=lodge+handle+sleeve&qid=1557664801&s=gateway&sr=8-12

**Q: What is the exact composition of your cast iron? Is there a certificate? I’d like to know if aluminum is used, even if at a very small percentage**
A: Our cast iron does contain an aluminum core. We cannot release the exact composition of any of our products.
