Thank you. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great way to reuse an otherwise thrown-out laptop LCD panel! *by J***B on December 5, 2016* This is a fantastic way to reuse what would possibly otherwise be thrown in the trash or "recycled."Pros:* There was nothing to "set up," at least not with the panel I have. You simply connect everything as is in the seller's product photo and connect a video source. With the exception of the LVDS cable, the connectors will only fit the correct receptacles on the driver board, oriented the correct way. The LVDS cable (board end, not display panel end) will physically fit several different ways, but as long as you pay attention to what you're doing and connect it such that the dot painted on the connector aligns with pin 1 of the headers marked with the text "LVDS OUT" on the driver board, you shouldn't have any trouble.* There is a remote included, which can be optionally used in place of the tact switches/buttons on the remote control board. An LED on this board displays power status, as well as reflects remote button presses.* The On-Screen Display provides the expected basics picture controls (brightness, contrast, hue, saturation), as well as aspect ratio adjustments (4:3, 16:9, auto), color temperature (9300K, 6500K, custom), OSD settings (Language, position, transparency).* Negligible heat output from board. The display panel controller chip produces a barely perceptible amount of heat after about 10min of use.Cons:* The cabling to the panel is not protected. I'd recommend you sheath this in poly braided tube or some sort of protective conduit. The wires are very small gauge.Notes:* Be wary of certain HDMI video sources if you're intended use is for watching TV/movies: I connected this to a Roku 3 and while the interface displayed fine, unsurprisingly, content-protected video did not (which was anything I tried on YouTube, Amazon Video and Hulu). Honestly a truly amazing product. I had checked out similar models or comparable setups on aliexpress but their 80 day shipping window didn't really entice me, even with any price differential.As long as you match up the type of apartus/screen/LCD type/ specifically regarding the Signal interface：LVDS (1 ch, 6-bit) , 40 pins part, you can order a 'generic' version of these circuit boards and with VERY little effort, have a secondary screen up and running in minutes...just make sure you double check the pin count as some are 30, 40, 50, etc.And go ahead and just order the power adapter 'most popular' listed with the adapter itself because even if you may have numerous power sources around the house, why take the risk of overloading or frying something that is rather delicate when it comes down to it so, just take your time, choose wisely! And Amazon sure seemed to have just as viable of products that came within 4-5 days vs. 60+. If you really need to save $7? That's on you.
