I have these gates on three doorways in my house to close off rooms that I don't want my dogs to go into. They are sturdy and have done a great job holding up against my dogs leaning against them. **Q: Can anyone with a gate after the 2016 design change upload a photo of the hinges (which reportedly don't allow the gate to be lifted off easily)?** A: I have bought this gate repeatedly for over 10 years.I just bought one in feb 2019 and the hinges are the same. **Q: Our gate is impossible to open with one hand only and it is not sliding well at all, is this typical with this gate?** A: I actually have three of these gates. It is easy to open if u squeeze, push toward the wall and then open. **Q: Is the gate still 32 inches after it is installed?** A: The top of my gate as installed is 35 inches from the floor. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wicket safe *by A***R on 5 August 2019* It is easy to use and assemble and wood is lighter to use and decorative too ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and efficient. *by M***T on 11 April 2020* Need careful installation and levelling, that's it ! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product with minor flaws *by A***N on 15 December 2020* It’s a great product. I was hunting for something similar for quite a long time until I came across this one and I promptly ordered 2. I have fixed this at both top of the stairs as well as below and I have drilled this directly into the wall on one side and on to the iron rail on the other. Fairly easy installation, but not straightforward. As a lot of people mentioned, it is slightly warped and thus while installing I would recommend that you first fix the end where the gate locks and then holding the other end to the wall fix the holding brackets. Note that’s these won’t be in a straight line. ## Frequently Bought Together - Evenflo Walk-Thru Top Of Stairs Baby Gate (Farmhouse Collection), 48"W x 32"H - Safety Innovations No Hole Stairway Baby Gate Mounting Kit - Fits Posts from 2 3/4 inches to 3 1/2 inches Wide with Square or Round Tops - No Adhesives On Or Screws in Your Posts, (1-Pack) - Regalo Easy Step 38.5-Inch Wide Walk Thru Baby Gate, Includes 6-Inch Extension Kit, Pressure Mount Kit, Wall Cups --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/263650552-evenflo-easy-walk-thru-pressure-mounted-gate-white](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/263650552-evenflo-easy-walk-thru-pressure-mounted-gate-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
